As you may know films like COMING TO GROUND are independently produced with grants and contributions; films with subject matter like this rarely made with corporate support and have no ‘commercial value.’
As independent documentary makers we take a risk to produce the kind of work that tells the extraordinary stories with ‘ordinary’ people and places and can only be accomplished with government grants, foundation support, individual contributions and commissions. We also depend on sales, screening fees and rentals which often make the difference between breaking even, or not. It is particularly important for institutions who will benefit from multiple uses, screenings, libraries to buy the documentary at the higher price. Without your support this work could not be created.
We encourage you to buy a copy of the documentary or make a tax-deductible contribution!
